Today, everyone’s favourite pop punk princess has announced a Greatest Hits album to go alongside her upcoming Greatest Hits tour. She put it best when she posted on X (formerly Twitter): “Can’t do a greatest hits tour without a greatest hits album!!!”.

The album will see smash hits pulled from all of her seven studio albums, dating back to the 2002 debut that put her on the map, Sk8er Boi. It’s safe to say the Canadian star has accumulated quite the hit-list in her time, bursting onto the scene and swiftly earning the Guinness World Record for the Youngest Female Solo Artist to top the UK chart, with the music video for Girlfriend being the first music video on YouTube to reach 100 million views five years later.

Alongside her long-awaited Greatest Hits album comes the news that Sony Music Entertainment will be releasing expanded editions of four previous albums on 12” vinyl pressings for the very first time, including Under My Skin (2004), Best Damn Thing (2007), Goodbye Lullaby (2011) and Avril Lavigne (2013).

Avril Lavigne’s Greatest Hits will be available on 12” vinyl, CD and digital formats and is available to pre-order here. Amazon will offer an exclusive metallic silver press of Under My Skin, an exclusive 2 LP surge green pressing of Goodbye Lullaby (with nine bonus tracks) and an exclusive opaque baby blue pressing of Avril Lavigne (with three bonus tracks). Avril Lavigne’s own store will offer an exclusive 2 LP neon pink vinyl pressing of The Best Damn Thing (with five bonus tracks).

Released a year ago in January 2023 on vinyl, Let Go is being re-pressed in a new 12” for the reissue celebration. Amazon will offer an exclusive double LP in translucent red. Pre-order here.
