bdrmm sign to Rock Action, announce new album ‘I Don’t Know’
The shoegaze band’s second album is out in June.
It’s no surprise that bdrmm is a hot commodity in the shoegaze genre. With a critically acclaimed debut album and successful singles, the four-piece band have gotten their biggest deal yet. Mogwai’s Rock Action label will now be the home for the Hull quartet as they move into a new era.
The decision to sign with Rock Action was a happy one, with the band stating “We’re so excited to have signed to Rock Action. After touring with Mogwai and forming such a close relationship with them, we feel blessed to have been invited to work with them and their team.”
I Don’t Know will see the group taking their shoegaze sound to another level; core elements of what made their debut special with new influences and personal stories to tell. Sought after by another label, Rock Action won — big-time. While bdrmm is still riding off of the high of their debut effort, they’re sticking to what they want to create, not the ideas of someone else.
The quartet also put out their first release on their new label: the single It’s Just A Drop of Blood. A live-performance favourite turned lead single, the track makes creative use of sonics and guitar riffs to make a musical journey. It’s a shoegaze, grunge, and alternative-fueled masterclass that is sure to detract from sophomore slump doubt.
bdrmm will be hosting a slew of summer in-store performances before heading on their own headlining tour across the UK in November in support of I Don’t Know.
I Don’t Know will be released on June 30th via Rock Nation. Pre-order HERE.
