Catfish and the Bottlemen announce show at Liverpool’s Sefton Park
The show takes place on July 11th.
Whoever runs the PR and marketing for Catfish and the Bottlemen deserves a raise – they’ve created a humongous buzz around Liverpool the last week with their simplistic advertisement to the fact that the band was on to something.
Catfish and the Bottlemen have announced details of what is set to be their biggest UK headline show to date. Set to take place in July this summer, the huge gig will see the band reach new heights, as they take to the stage at Liverpool’s Sefton Park.
The performance at the outdoor space will be held on Thursday 11th July, and is one of the largest outdoor concerts Liverpool has ever seen at a whopping 32,000 capacity. Fans who didn’t get Reading & Leeds festival tickets or Cardiff tickets are certainly ecstatic to see this come on the cards, however some fans have displayed disappointment towards the band due to buying tickets for other headline shows.
The news of the huge Liverpool show comes shortly after Catfish and the Bottlemen shared their comeback single Showtime. The track marked the return of Van McCann and co. (who we’re still not entirely sure that consists of) after a five year break since the release of 2019’s Balance. The track was written and recorded by McCann, alongside multi-Grammy-winning producer Dave Sardy (the man behind the infamous Oasis and The Rolling Stones) and documents the band’s return to the music scene – who knows what they’ve got in store for us.
Tickets go on sale Friday 19th April at 10AM and can be found here.
