Esme Emerson announce forthcoming EP with new single ‘Show You (Truck Song)’
The duo’s ‘Big Leap, No Faith, Small Chancer’ EP is set for a Summer release.

Rising British-Chinese sibling duo Esme Emerson have announced details of their forthcoming EP Big Leap, No Faith, Small Chancer – set for release on 28th June via Communion Records.
The EP will see Esme and Emerson showcase their growth as artists amidst a carefully crafted balance of gentle melodies and electronic elements that were written in their family home and co-produced with close friend and collaborator Hugo M. Hardy at his studio in London and at Old Jet in Suffolk.
Esme and Emerson said: “This EP is about wanting to be good and kind and nice, but sometimes not feeling that way. It’s about the shame and guilt brought about by rumination and human mistakes. It’s about loving so ardently and so deeply, and how scary that can be. It’s about avoiding love so ardently and deeply, and how lonely that can be. Ultimately, it’s about the trials and tribulations of our adolescence and young adulthood. It’s a sincere reflection and a creative manifestation of both our insecurities and our growth.”
Alongside the news of their EP, Esme Emerson also shared a new single and second release with Communion, Show You (Truck Song) – a love song about trying to prove yourself to someone.
“It’s a song about how easily insecurities manifest when your feelings are taken for granted, and how a lack of self-worth grants permission to be overlooked,” Esme notes. “It’s about a desperation to be loved, wanting to show that in good time you swear you’ll make it worth their while and promise effort as a testimony to your words.”
Esme Emerson will also play a string of UK shows this May, beginning in London in support of Jasmin Jethwa before heading on the road with The Japanese House for shows in Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and London.
