Fans of serene, southern gothic, ballads will be excited to hear that Hayden Anhedӧnia, better known as her alter ego Ethel Cain, has announced a new album, as well as a tour. The album, Willoughby Tucker, I Will Always Love You, is set to release in August and appears to be thematically closely associated with Cain’s first full length album, Preacher’s Daughter. Whereas the tour, Willoughby Tucker Forever, will be spanning several cities in North America, as well as a large swath of Europe (including Manchester, Glasgow and London).
This will be her second album of 2025, following the release of Perverts in early January. A more experimental album, showcasing Cain’s talents within the noise genre, although it did include tracks which sounded more familiar to her earlier work (long, gothic ballads). Perverts certainly tested some of Cain’s fans but altogether received raving reviews across the board.
If you cannot wait for more Ethel Cain, get ready to grab those tickets ASAP, especially since $1 of each ticket goes towards trans rights organisations thanks to a partnership with The Ally Coalition. Presales begin Wednesday, March 26th at 10am local time with tickets on sale to the public Friday, March 28th at 10 am local time.
Willoughby Tucker, I Will Always Love You is out August 2025 via Daughters of Cain Records.
