Dublin powerhouses Inhaler have announced their sophomore album, Cuts & Bruises. Coming early next year, the project serves as the group’s follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2021 debut It Won’t Always Be Like This.

Inhaler had been hinting something was in the works with previously shared behind-the-scenes photos and the lead single These Are the Days; however, no album confirmation had been solid until now. The album and its tracklist were announced via social media on the 13th of October, with the second single Love Will Get You There being released alongside them.

The accompanying music video for Love Will Get You There, directed by James Arden, throws it back to the television days of yesteryear. Parodying The Late Late Show (not the one with James Corden, but rather the original Irish version), the band is seen giving a performance while scenes of the group playing games on the show, conducting a chaotic interview, and clips of screaming fans are interwoven. Playing into the return of the rock aesthetics from the late 70s to the 90s, it’s timely yet fun.

Another surprise for Inhaler stans (or anyone who has seen them play live before) came in the form of Dublin In Ecstacy making a spot on Cuts & Bruises’ tracklist. A fan favourite, the song had been played on and off throughout previous tours dating back to 2019. Predating their debut album, the long-awaited studio version of the track will finally get its dues. With two well-received singles and a fan favourite on the album, the remaining eight tracks are sure to deliver.

In support of Cuts & Bruises, Inhaler will play headline shows later this year in their hometown of Dublin, and 2023 headliners in the United States, Italy, and Great Britain. Prior to the album announcement, it had been revealed that the quartet will be opening for Arctic Monkeys on their 2023 European leg from April to May of next year. They will also support Harry Styles at Slane Castle and will open for Sam Fender alongside Holly Humberstone at his St James Park, Newcastle, UK date.

2023 is shaping up to be a great year for one of Ireland’s biggest names, and it is well deserved. Proving to be one of the best rock bands of the current wave, their second effort will be one to look out for, as will their live performances.

Cuts & Bruises is out on February 17th 2023 via Polydor Records.
