Mixing soft, Boss Nova-inspired sounds with indie sensibilities, Mei Semones has hit all of the right notes with the opener of her debut album, Animaru, set for release this May.
Dumb Feeling — the first taster of her full-length debut — shows Mei with a more mature and honed sound, building on the 2024 EP Kabutomushi and 2023 collaboration with fellow singer-songwriter John Roseboro, Waters of March.
Currently touring with Hippo Campus in America, Mei will cross over to the UK to join Panchiko on their tour in March before heading back to the United States to finish up a busy season of touring.
Animaru is out May 2nd via Bayonet Records. Pre-order and pre-save the album here.
