The Lonesome Crowded West, released in 1997, marked the band’s beginnings of renowned critical and music scene success. Preceded by Modest Mouse’s debut album, This Is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About, their second effort has been hailed as one of the hallmark albums of the 1990s from publications such as Pitchfork, Entertainment Weekly, Spin, and The A.V. Club.

Full of indie rock melodies, robust lyricism, and just the right amount of existentialism to hold strong across the decades, The Lonesome West is sure to be a crowd pleaser for those who are itching to buy a ticket for the band’s latest endeavour. Modest Mouse saw further success following the album’s release; making a deal with Epic Records and releasing five albums under the label. The tour will offer avid collectors a shot at a limited edition vinyl of the album, with a select amount available for pre-order in combination with tour tickets. The remainder will be available on tour.

Wrapping up The Golden Casket Tour this week, the band show no signs of slowing down. On their second tour of 2022, Modest Mouse will be returning to some cities they had previously played earlier in the year and in 2021. Lead singer Isaac Brock, drummer Jeremiah Green, bassist Russell Higbee and guitarist Simon O’Connor have been confirmed to be on the tour; however, there has been no indication that any of the founding members that took part in the album’s production will make an appearance.
