Having just released her sophomore album Everybody Needs A Hero, as well as touring with supergroup FIZZ, the Irish musician has announced a highly-anticipated tour of Europe and the UK. Having spoken candidly about the cost of touring in the past, it’s welcome news that Orla Gartland has found a way to share her album live.

Releasing her second album via her own label, New Friends, meant that Orla could keep creative control; co-producing the album and making sure nothing went ahead without her approval first, and that is reflected in an album that’s not only mature but an honest look at identity whilst being in a long-term relationship.

The tour starts off in March in Copenhagen before Orla dots around several European hotspots like Stockholm, Milan, Berlin and Amsterdam, before heading to the UK for a run of shows in Glasgow, Manchester and London, then finally ending her headline tour in her home country of Ireland, performing at the 3Olympia Theatre in Dublin.

Tickets go on sale October 18th (Friday) from 10am (BST) and can be found here.

Everybody Needs a Hero is out now via New Friends.
