The independent day festival Wide Awake, which celebrates post-punk, indie and a variety of other genres, will take place in Brockwell Park this year on Saturday, 27th of May. This time around, expect everything from Alex G and Tirzah, to Black Country, New Road, Habibi Funk and Daniel Avery.

Wide Awake is a relatively new addition to the day festival circuit, having debuted in 2021, but it has created a reputation as one of the most interesting celebrations of alternative music and counterculture that London has to offer. This year sees a range of artists and DJs: of particular note are alt-pop visionary Caroline Polachek, experimental producer Oneohtrix Point Never, Swedish post-punkers Viagra Boys, psychedelic funk quartet Los Bitchos, and new-wave cult favourites Molchat Doma.

The festival is also known for its emphasis on sustainability and engagement with the local community.

Wide Awake takes place in Brockwell Park, London - near Brixton tube station and Herne Hill railway station. For more info and to grab yourself a ticket, click here.
