A wall of fuzz and realism: Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard unleash new single ‘In My Egg’

In My Egg — the new release from Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard — is ‘90s grunge spliced with dirgey garage rock. For fans of Egyptian Blue, Panic Shack or early Warhols, this single is one to add to the playlist, boasting distorted guitar and neo-psychedelic images of primordial chambers. It’s the ultimate introvert anthem, detailing the plight of someone who, through burnout, depression or sheer misanthropism, just wants to shut the door and stay in bed. We’ve all been there.
In many ways, it’s the true embodiment of being a young person in the modern day. It also drags its knuckles through the lead-ish sludge of grunge and metal subgenres, clattering into a wall of indiscernible, inescapable noise. It never sinks into outright disorder though, keeping on the right side of addictive, and placing the Wales-born group firmly on the map. Following a string of equally neurotic singles (Chew and National Rust), In My Egg is a winner. At this rate, their upcoming studio effort – Skinwalker – is set to be a spectacle.
