Effortlessly cool: Eades drop fresh indie rocker ‘Fade Away’

Eades’ Fade Away packs the late-blooming adolescent cool of CAKE and The Vaccines’ Justin Young. It’s indie rock in every sense; laid-back, collected, dejected and packing a lowdown, crunchy riff. It’s one for the old-school post-punkheads and fans of groups like Franz Ferdinand and Youth Sector.
The track deals with growing up in a cruel world, joining the rat race and going nowhere in the 21st century. In that respect, it follows the no-holds-barred reality of lyrics from groups like Yard Act, echoing the sentiment that young indie groups know what’s up and aren’t afraid to make some noise about it. It’s a neat track for a late-blooming spring, and one to watch out for from this five-piece; hopefully the first taste of a full-length on the horizon.
