Do you miss the heart of indie rock and roll? The days of The Vaccines, The Wombats, chaotic Sourz shots, staying up until 5am to unravel the universe? Unrequited crushes, spontaneous road trips and good vibes?

Maxïmo Park’s new single is the tonic for that. A shot of nostalgia to the heart, The End Can Be As Good As The Start is no-holds-barred melodic pop-rock, dealing with the age-old tale of a relationship undone at the seams. You’ll come for the hopeful title, but you’ll stay for the heartbreak set to endlessly catchy strum patterns and lush guitar.

Maxïmo Park’s latest offering – released ahead of their upcoming album, Stream of Life, is unabashedly a summertime vibe, but built for those dim, cozy, melancholic autumn evenings, too. In other words, it’s a hit all year-round, and fast becoming a standout tune of 2024.

Stream of Life is out September 27th via Lower Third. Pre-order the album from Rough Trade here.
