The Berlin-based newcomer’s first single is truly engaging, with enough rise and fall to make you want to join her in resisting life’s darker emotions.

Electronic artist, Zylva, recently released her first single DreamSs; a track that showcases her insightful and enlightening songwriting amongst an assortment of divine synths. Despite drawing attention to some of the darker aspects of everyday life, the song is for sure a mover thanks to its energizing beat that remains a prominent driving force throughout.

This sonic force is not what sustains the song’s intrigue however, as Zylva’s pure and steady vocals remain at the heart of the track, roaming comfortably between the various synth effects to recreate the feeling of peace that comes with successfully going against the grain to embrace solitude.

The lyrics really emphasize this embracement of seclusion by highlighting that Zylva has found salvation and strength from within: “If you won’t perceive me / in a manner that feels right to me / I will walk alone / towards the sunset / towards the end of time.”

As Zylva says this single is her anthem about internally liberating herself from an unhealthy relationship and attempting to heal despite others’ opinions, it is clear why there is such a defiant tone to these lyrics.
