Their first release since their brilliant debut album two years ago, What’s Inside Is More Than Just Ham, FEET have returned with their latest single, Peace & Quiet

Described by the band as about “demanding more from the current music scene”, Peace & Quiet touches on the issue of bands on major labels having such a fake image, and trying too hard to fit into certain boxes and music scenes (“Punk is just a haircut / It doesn’t have a meaning”)

Like most bands, FEET have been affected greatly by the circumstances of the last year or so. However, they seem to be positive about what’s to come, saying to DIY that “2021 is the year for new and exciting groups supported by a rejuvenated industry. Now’s the time to start small, grass-root scenes and DIY shows at your local village halls”.

Peace & Quiet proves that FEET definitely haven’t lost their charm, as they, in their own words, take the “pop music formula — hooky choruses, nothing too self-indulgent”, while still retaining “a bit of edge”. This tune is bound to get you excited for what we can expect to hear on the band’s upcoming EP, Walking Machine, which is due to be released digitally on 6th August, and physically on 13th September on Nice Swan Records, which will be accompanied by a UK tour starting on 12th August.

Peace & Quiet is out now on Nice Swan Records.
