The Nottingham-born singer, who somehow happens to look the same as when he first broke out on the scene some twelve years ago, has announced his sixth album A Modern Day Distraction alongside a slew of UK and EU tour dates for this year.

The tour sees the seasoned musician stop off at key hotspots, including Paris, Amsterdam, London, Dublin, Glasgow and Manchester. If you can’t wait until then, you can see the powerhouse this summer, as he hits Ireland in June, Wigan and Scotland in July, Hertfordshire in August, Malta in September and Budapest in October. An odd mix, sure, but at least he’s making sure no one feels left out — or maybe he has made the South Coast of England feel a little neglected?

Jake Bugg has had a busy year already. Straight after touring with Liam Gallagher and John Squire, he’s onto a single release, Zombieland, announcing a tour that’ll see him head all over the place, and an album due out in September. At only 30, Bugg still has room to reach even newer heights, so maybe this is the album to catapult him to an even larger audience. One thing will remain the same: he’ll always be that boy from Nottingham, humble, passionate and yearning for more.

A Modern Day Distraction is out September 20th via RCA Records. Tickets for the tour will be available across artist & O2 presales on May 22nd and promoter presales on May 23rd. General on sale will be 10:00 BST on Friday May 24th from HERE.
