Jamie T announces his return with the promise of new music soon
The indie icon is set to make a heroic return with new music on the way and an Anniversary celebration for his debut album

As we enter what feels like the fifteenth week of a drawn out January, we finally have some good news to start the year off with — the legend himself, Jamie T, is back.
On Friday he announced that he’s releasing a limited edition 12” and double CD to celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of his debut album Panic Prevention. An added bonus — he will also be giving away fifteen signed test pressings randomly selected from anyone who signs up to order the CD or vinyl.
Not only that, but in his somewhat chaotic announcement video — in which he shouts at us over the top of some roadworks happening in the background — he added that there would be ‘new music coming out soon’. Finally, the news that us Jamie T fans have all been waiting for.
There have been other bands and artists to attempt the witty half-sung half-rapped style that Jamie T is renowned for but nobody can seem to pull it off quite as well as he does. Considering it’s been five years since Jamie’s last album Trick (not including his 2018 release of old B-sides and demos), there’s no doubt that he will bring with him a fresh angle and new stories to tell us. Whether it be through heartfelt songs like Magnolia Melancholia or high energy hits like Sticks ‘n’ Stones remains to be seen, but either way we’re equally excited to have him back in the game.
