Hungarian pop-rockers Dirty Slippers bring indie to British shores with ‘WHERE DID THE SUMMER GO’

The band share new track.

The name Dirty Slippers might not mean much to you but, in their native Hungary, the four-piece have seen three albums in the album charts and played all over Europe. This year will mark the group’s 15th anniversary, a new album and a UK tour; as well as a new single, WHERE DID THE SUMMER GO.

The track is equal parts dance-floor hit and blues-inflected rocker, flirting around the edges of late ‘80s AOR. In just two and a half minutes, Dirty Slippers have brewed something truly delectable; you’ll be wearing out the play button in no time. The lyrics aren’t going to outshine Dylan, but there’s a solid backbeat and a punchy chorus. It’s a formula played out since man first hit two sticks together, sure, but it works. And in the case of Dirty Slippers, it really works.
