Ferocious guitars, mega chorus: overpass share latest single ‘Take It Or Leave It’

It’s the third single to be released from the band’s upcoming EP.

Having supported the likes of Inhaler and The Royston Club, embarked on a sold-out headline tour, and released their debut EP From the Night just last year, Birmingham rising stars overpass are not known for shying away from the music industry’s killer pace. Getting ripped right into their latest single with shredding guitars and a sky-high chorus, Take It Or Leave It is a huge indie rock anthem that easily explains why the West Midlands four-piece are one of the hottest bands coming out of the region right now.

Armed with their remarkably mature sound and fearless attitude to pushing their sonic boundaries, Take It Or Leave It showcases overpass’ ever-increasing ability to reach new musical depths while also maintaining their emotional relatability.

Touching on the idea that people need to ‘take you as you are’ because you can’t change the way you are, the track explores the familiar journey of growing up and figuring things out through one of life’s more introspective moments – the decision to accept yourself completely.

This is contrasted with the single’s high-octane guitar riffs, formidable basslines and pounding drumbeat that just won’t quit, making up what has come to be known as overpass’ stadium-ready sound.

Feeling like both a declaration and celebration of self-acceptance, Take It Or Leave It is bound to whip up a storm live.

Take It Or Leave It is out now and will be featured on overpass’ upcoming EP Dependent, which is set for release on 28th February via Communion Records. Pre-save the EP here.
