Scottish alt-rocker’s Stay for Tomorrow unleash new single ‘Restart’

The band take it back to days of nostalgia.

Stay For Tomorrow’s Restart is the love letter to all the post-punk bands of the early noughties, with choruses wrapped in barked harmonies and guitars which sound like Klaxons. It’s a little Blink-182, a little Busted, a little very catchy. Formed in 2018, Stay For Tomorrow hail from Dunfermline, Scotland, and are already nailing the alt-rock sound.

Indeed, the single conjures up images of fugitives on the run in some futuristic, neon-lit cyberspace. Frontman Joe MacFarlane’s unshakeably Celtic vocals sound incredible, and the whole thing feels tight. It’s a long time since I’ve heard something like this released in the present day, and I can’t lie; the shot of nostalgia is a welcome one.
