This summer is set to be one to remember thanks to the acts coming to perform in Bedford, including everyone’s favourite pop-rock star Avril Lavigne. Did you ever think you’d be seeing America’s pop princess in Bedford? No, me neither, but she joins the likes of Sabrina Carpenter playing in Luton for least expected pop-star sightings.

Avril is joined by music royalty Tom Jones as well as Nile Rodgers with iconic disco act Chic, a day that’s guaranteed to make everybody dance. James is set to perform on the latter Saturday, performing alongside an orchestra and choir. Talk about a Summer to remember!

Founded in Glasgow and expanding further to Edinburgh in 2018, the Summer Sessions have become a staple of summer all across the UK, including Southampton, Derby, Plymouth and Chepstow, bringing a unique collective of artists together to dance the 9-5 woes away and truly getting into the spirit of Summer. If the sun is out, that’s just a bonus!

The Bedford Summer Sessions kick off with Avril Lavigne at Bedford Park and is sure to be a memorable day, thanks to the Canadian star’s minimal UK performances in 2024! If you can’t catch the popstar — known for Sk8r Boi and Complicated — this June, then she’ll be stopping by Cardiff Castle and Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl too.
