The seasoned Irishman — who shot to fame thanks to his most notable (and rather catchy) track Take Me To Church — has announced a tour in support of his new album, Unreal Unearth, which drops this August.

Taking on the support slot is none other than new kids on the block The Last Dinner Party, who have their hard work and grafting on the live circuit to thank for their sizable audience. They’ve done so well the internet is already trying to search for some hidden link; some sort of connection, instead of realising that bands naturally gig first before releasing any music. Gigging pays for recording, it’s a relentless cycle — how else are you supposed to test your songs?

Putting on a real feast of a live show (or so I’ve been told), this makes The Last Dinner Party ones to watch live this year if you can make it down for a night of debauchery and sheer fun. We all know Hozier is a seasoned pro; make it two for two and see a fantastic line-up this Winter.

The tour starts in Liverpool on December 10th before concluding in Belfast on the 17th. Unreal Unearth hits earwaves August 18th.

Tickets are on sale now via Gigs and Tours or Ticketmaster.
