Friedberg, the all-female, alt-pop rock four-piece fronted by songwriter Anna Friedberg, have announced their hotly anticipated full-length debut, following 2021’s EP, Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah. Hardcore Workout Queen, out November 8th, is a collection of ten tracks, summed up by its singer as “an endless road trip, with no destination. It’s top-down, California coastline music; the same signature dance-rock sound that’s given Friedberg their powerhouse reputation.

It’s about breaking in and breaking free,” says Anna, “… being the Champion of the Slobs, whilst cheering for the Hardcore Workout Queens who run past… as you’re tucking into your second breakfast.” Featuring the group’s latest three singles, including most recent The Greatest (read our interview with Anna about it here), Friedberg’s debut looks set to be a forty-minute party in the making.

The announcement comes alongside the news that Friedberg are playing their first London headline show at the 100 Club on November 4th, still relatively fresh from the road on Placebo’s latest summertime tour.

The album, featuring youthful anthems Hello and My Best Friend, has been a long time coming, and drops November 8th 2024. Pre-order the album here.
